# Zoning and hearings

> Cited ordinance retrieval, by-right analysis, public meetings, packets, and votes.

Zoning tools retrieve cited ordinance evidence and produce a fail-closed determination. Missing municipal coverage is returned as an explicit gap; it is not inferred from a neighboring jurisdiction or generalized land-use label.

Use ordinance search before by-right analysis when you need the underlying passages. Hearing and meeting tools provide source URLs, dates, document identifiers, and coverage metadata.
